Paracetamol And Acetaminophen

Paracetamol or Acetaminophen is a widely used as a fever reducer ( antipyretic ) and pain reliever ( analgesic ). It is an over the counter analgesic drug. It is used for the remove the symptoms of the migraine headache and other minor such as pains, aches. Paracetamol can be used  also with opioid analgesics in flu and cold remedies. Paracetamol also may be used for providing palliative care in patients with cancer and may be used also as a post surgical pain.

Paracetamol half life and onset:
Its half life is four hours, and its onset is ten minutes after paracetamol oral administration.
Paracetamol over dose may cause liver damage, and its risks is heightened by consumption of alcohol. Acute liver failure is its toxicity. 
Phenacetin is the active metabolite of the paracetamol, Once popular as an antipyretic and analgesic in their own right. Paracetamol therapeutic dose isn't considering to be carcinogenic, unlike Phenacetin.

Paracetamol and acetaminophen 
The word Paracetamol used in all the world except ( Canada, United States, Iran, Hong Kong, Latin American countries, they used the word acetaminophen ) both come from the compound chemical names: Para acetyl aminophenol and Para acetyl aminophenol. It may also be named as APAP ( acetyl Para aminophenol ).
